As a Certified Nurse Midwife, Irene provides comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care. Irene completed her basic nursing education in Hartford, CT, and her certificate as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Syracuse, NY. After spending many years as an operating room nurse and a labor & delivery nurse, she received her certification as a nurse midwife in 1994. She has loved every moment of her practice since!
A Nurse Midwife collaborates with their physician counterpart to provide very personalized care from before puberty, to having a family, to well past menopause. Of course, the process of pregnancy and childbirth is her specialty. Like Dr. Fink and Stephanie, Irene helps women celebrate pregnancy as a natural and normal process, with the understanding that you want the very best resources available to you & your baby should the need arise.
Irene has practiced in Florida since 1989, and is delighted to bring her expertise in caring to the Center of Excellence for OB/GYN.
