Dr. Alejandra Turmero joined the Miami Center of Excellence for Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010. She earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1998. She completed her OB/GYN residency at State University of New York in Stony Brook in 2004. After her residency training, she worked as an attending physician at the Providence Community Health Centers in Providence, RI. Dr. Turmero was appointed as a clinical instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University overseeing and training OB/GYN residents. She participated in several hospital committees at Women and Infant's Hospital in Providence and was known to have an excellent and pleasant bedside manner.


Dr. Turmero is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow member of the American Congress for OB/GYN. Her interests include preventive women's health and in office procedures. She couldn't have imagined a more personable and top notch practice to join and is happy to live in Miami. She has an amazing husband and two sons. Incredibly Dr. Turmero still finds time to train for triathlons. She enjoys family time, traveling, and endurance sports. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
