Dr. Arin Semel obtained her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University in Chicago. During that time she worked as a MCAT course instructor specializing in organic chemistry and physics. She also led orientation sessions for incoming freshman and organized self-defense lessons for sororities and events against violence toward women.

Dr. Semel then returned home to Florida where she received her medical degree at the University of Florida. While in medical school, she served at the American Medical Women’s Association UF Chapter President.

After completing her residency at George Washington University, Dr. Semel was appointed a faculty position at George Washington University Hospital. She has special interests in providing comprehensive obstetrical care and minimally invasive surgery. In her free time, Dr. Semel loves knitting and spending time with her Chihuahuas.
